Our February Athlete of the Month is one tough woman! Wow. From the moment she stepped foot through our doors, her laugh and determination could be seen and heard across the room. The strength she has is natural. Her joy radiates. Her smile shines. Her love of those around is felt. We want you to learn all about Joanne Pash Gutknecht this month! We hope that she will put a smile in your heart and motivate you!

  1. What’s your athletic background? I wasn’t an athlete during school. But in my 20’s I was a fitness instructor at WWW “ AKA Women’s Workout World” Boy I am I dating myself!

  2. When did you start working out at CrossFit Osiris? May of 2018!! I did Bootcamp with some family and friends!! We were a crazy group!!

  3. What keeps you coming back? It is definitely my noon family and the difference that I see in myself! I am in a much better place in my 50’s than I would be without my Osiris Family!!

  4. If you could write the WOD, what would it be? It would definitely have Deadlifts, Push-ups, Rowing and through in some Push Jerks!!

  5. What are some of your goals, fitness or personal? I really want to get up the rope, do a strict pull-up, double-unders and I want to deadlift 260#!! I PR’d 245#. Oh boy I better get moving!

  6. List one or two improvements you have seen in your life since starting CrossFit. I used to take a lot of naps! Meaning that I have so much more energy!!

  7. How do you like to spend your free time? I love to hang out on my deck and we all love fishing and boating!!

  8. What’s your favorite cheat meal? It has to be chicken wings from Steve O’s or Serums!!

  9. What would you say to someone thinking about starting CrossFit? There is something for everyone! We all have our things that we are good at or working on! You will find your place with this awesome family!!

  10. Anything else you’d like to share about yourself? I really love to cook and barbecue!! I have done catering and my husband and I used to have a musical gig at Mavericks in Champlin!!

  11. How often do you attend? I am at the gym 4-5 times a week!!

  12. What class do you typically attend? I am a part of the awesome Nooners and 8:30 Saturday!
