Athlete of the MonthDecember

Madi C.

Madi loves to camp and some of her favorite places are the Big Horn mountains in Wyoming or Colorado. She loves adventure!

You’ll always see a big smile on her face and an occasional eye roll when she’s around him. We are so proud of Madi! Showing up consistently with a good attitude and such tender kindness goes a long way.

List one or two improvements you have seen in your life since starting CrossFit.
Since starting CrossFit, I have noticed I have so much more energy throughout my day. I don’t get that burnt-out feeling at 2pm anymore and I feel more motivated throughout my day as well.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I love to cook and bake…. Which is exactly why I have to workout everyday haha! I also love traveling, usually with my dog (and Edward) by my side.
What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Anything carbs! Give me all the bread and pasta!
What would you say to someone thinking about starting CrossFit?
Don’t be scared to give it a try! When Edward first brought up starting CrossFit I thought to myself, “There’s no way I can do any of that.” But its really something that anyone can do, no matter your fitness or experience level, no matter your age, and you can make it as hard or easy as you want. Vanessa and all the coaches at Osiris are so knowledgeable and always make sure you feel comfortable with each movement.
Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
My life outside of CrossFit is fairly busy with school and work but over time, I’ve really realized how important it is to take the time each day to workout. It’s so easy to tell yourself that you’re too busy to workout, but making it a priority is so important!
How often do you attend?
I usually try to attend 4 times a week, 5 if I’m feeling really ambitious.
What class do you typically attend?
The 5:30am class is my usual. I know RayLynn, Emily, and Sara (and many others) will push me to add the extra 5 pounds that I REALLY don’t want to add.
