My husband,Eugene, and I have been married for almost 14 years. We have 3 beautiful kiddos together, 2 girls and 1 boy that are 13, 12, and 11. We have 2 puppies, Potter and Lilo, and a cute bunny named Shadow. We moved around a lot for Eugene’s job with Best Buy for the first half of our marriage. About 7 years ago we settled in Oak Grove and we absolutely love it! Some of my hobbies (outside CrossFit) is golfing, painting, reading, and pretty much anything that allows me to soak up the sun and breathe fresh air! I love the outdoors, especially boating, swimming, and hiking. My family and I hope to someday move somewhere we can enjoy warm weather and outdoor activities all year long.
I played tennis and ran track through middle school and high school. I didn’t participate in sports in college and lost sight of my love for fitness until I joined CrossFit 6 years ago. I loved it! I got into nutrition and competing hardcore, lost 80 pounds of fat and gained over 10 pounds of muscle in 2 years. I competed in local competitions as well as some bigger ones like GameDay St. Paul and Granite Games. I became a class coach and nutrition coach nearly 3 years ago and found another reason to love CrossFit and the community! Helping people exceed their goals and gain self confidence was like nothing I had ever done and I am so excited to get back at it.
Favorite movement or WOD?
My favorite movement in a WOD is handstand push-ups. They are so fun and I worked really hard to be able to do them..
Least favorite movement or WOD?
My least favorite movement is double unders. I use the excuse that I have a weak wrist that makes them extra difficult for me, but I think I just really don’t like them!
